Mark
Deering

"Mark was a great friend. He was my best friend. I had known him since middle school. I have many fond memories of him. It seems like only yesterday that I saw him light his hands on fire. He was someone you could always count on to be himself. It is very hard to find someone who knows when something is a bad idea, but you can count on them to follow through anyway. Like eating six coney dogs before going on a long car trip. And then one day, Mark found a girlfriend. And we have not heard from him since. But someday... someday I hope to run up a $40 bar tab again with 75 cent beers. And see him perform the Steel Rod Shuffle." -- Jim Cracchiolo

"It was a long slow agonizing death. Near the end, he was still trying to stay strong, be a trooper. He'd call every once in awhile, let us know he was coming over or going to show up for an evening out with the guys. Then, the calls stopped. Nothing. We knew there was nothing we could do. We'll miss you Mark, I hope you're in a happy place."-- John Barrett
